Why frocks, why dancing, why ovarian cancer?
Lisa started fundraising for ovarian cancer research after the diagnosis and death of a close family friend because of the disease. She found the fantastic national fundraiser Frocktober and decided to create an event where everyone could wear their favourite frock for a refined high tea. Prior to 2015, Lisa held a dance party called Rock Your Frock. You can read more about the history of Rock Your Frock here.
Do I have to wear a frock (dress)?
No you don't have to - although everyone has more fun in a frock! But seriously, gentlemen we do not expect you to frock up.
Where do the funds raised go?
All profits raised go to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. The OCRF is one of Australia’s preeminent bodies supporting ovarian cancer research programs, and is focused upon the understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer, its early detection and improving patient survival.
Can I pre-purchase tickets?
Yes. Pre-purchased tickets are just $65 (plus a processing fee) and will be available shortly.
Tickets are not available from the door and must be pre-purchased.
What is Frocktober and can I join in?
Frocktober is an annual event raising funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. Anyone can participate and you can find all the details on the official Frocktober website.
Are donations tax deductable?
Your entry ticket and any money paid for an auction item is not tax deductible, however if you would like to make a larger donation, you can make a tax deductible donation though Lisa’s fundraising site which will be live in late September.
Do I have to book a full table of people to come?
No not at all. We will have various sized tables and will find some lovely afternoon tea companions for you.
Where is the Spring High Tea being held?
The Spring High Tea is being held in the CIT Function Centre, Level 1, K block, Constitution Avenue.
What if I have special dietary requirements?
Make sure you notify us when you book your tickets. If you forget, simply email Lisa a l.robey[at]yahoo.com.au
